Discussing HPV can be challenging, but you don’t need to feel ashamed. If you need support, you can talk to your general practitioner, doctor’s assistant, gynecologist, or the public health service GGD. Remember, you’re not alone.
Contact your doctor Or the GGD if:
You’re unsure if you have HPV
You want to know more about the symptoms
You have questions about protection against HPV
You want to know more about the National Immunization Program
You can do two things to protect yourself against HPV: vaccination and condom use during sex.* Additionally, women can take part in cervical cancer screening.1
* Condoms do not protect you fully against an HPV-infection.
How can you protect yourself against hpv?
In 2023, everyone up to the age of 26 has the opportunity to get vaccinated* for free through the National Immunization Program.1,2
* Vaccination is not the only option to protect yourself against the consequences of HPV. You can also use a condom during sex and as woman participate in the screening for cervical cancer.
Do you want to get vaccinated outside this program or are you older? Everyone can still get vaccinated at their own expense.1,2
This is possible at multiple locations. What is the difference between the locations and how can you get in touch with them?
